Did you know there are over 450 varieties of lavender? Who knew that the French lavender is the most fragrant?! English lavender is more mild and is used for culinary purposes. AND the Spanish lavender that is sold at Walmart and Home Depot does NOT successfully grow here in Sequim! So, if you are looking to add lavender to your garden the French and English varieties are best. The big Lavender Festival is happening next weekend…check out Victor’s Lavender!
